AIH Alliances
AIH alliances are a collaborative relationship between organisations that share common goals and values while remaining independent.
By working together, professional associations can exchange knowledge, strengthen advocacy, develop joint initiatives, expand professional networks and increase opportunities for education and innovation.
Alliances enable organisations to achieve outcomes collectively that would be more difficult to accomplish individually, creating greater value for their members, the profession and the wider community.

Horticultural Education Alliance
The AIH Horticultural Education Alliance (HEA) is the Australian Institute of Horticulture’s collaborative framework for engaging with education providers to advance the Institute’s education and professional development objectives.
Working through direct partnerships with universities, TAFE institutes and registered training organisations, the Alliance strengthens connections between education, industry and the profession. AIH provides professional leadership, industry insight, career guidance and continuing professional development opportunities while respecting each provider’s independence in curriculum design, teaching, assessment and regulatory compliance.
The Alliance supports educators, inspires students, promotes lifelong learning and helps strengthen professional pathways into horticulture. By fostering collaboration rather than regulation, the HEA ensures horticultural education remains relevant to industry needs while contributing to the development of a capable, ethical and professionally recognised horticultural workforce. Participation in the Alliance reflects a shared commitment to advancing horticultural education—it is not an accreditation or endorsement of participating institutions.

The Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE) is a division of NParks that serves to advance the landscape industry through industry training programs, workshops and seminars.
Ironwood Institute
Ironwood has grown steadily since its inception in 2008 and has established itself as a quality education provider in Horticulture and Agribusiness studies in South Australia.
Accreditation Agreements
The primary purpose of an accreditation agreement is to recognise a professional program that is based upon a reviewed and assessed scheme. AIH recognises that external accreditation of its programs, or other professional body’s accreditation, is an important component of maintaining quality and sustainable horticultural practices.
The AIH Registered Horticulturist accreditation program provides opportunities for career development including industry specific learning to enhance the level of professionalism within our industry. AIH plan to expand the program. We look to partners to further advance the recognition and acceptance of the program across government and industry.
Since 2008, AIH has held MOAs with the government body, NParks Singapore, specifically for their Certified Practising Horticulturist program. An AIH select committee of education and industry leaders provide reviewed feedback of the Singapore based CPH program on a regular basis to the managers at CUGE Singapore.

Professional and Industry Association Partnerships
The Australian Institute of Horticulture (AIH) collaborates with professional institutes, industry associations, educational organisations, government agencies and community groups to strengthen horticulture across Australia and internationally.
