Paid Endorsements — What You Need to Know
What is a Paid Endorsement?

paid endorsement is when AIH agrees to recommend or promote a product or service in exchange for payment or any other form of consideration.

How Paid Endorsements Work
Paid endorsements:
Must support AIH’s charitable purpose,
Are assessed for accuracy and relevance before approval,
Are clearly disclosed as paid arrangements,
Do not imply guarantees or regulatory approval, and
Are separate from AIH membership.
Difference between Corporate membership and Paid Endorsements

Corporate Membership is open to horticultural and allied companies or entities. Being a Corporate member of AIH does not mean AIH endorses their products or services. Endorsement is only given through a separate process that ensures alignment with our charity’s mission, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

Difference between Sponsorship and Paid Endorsements

Sponsorship agreements between AIH and a second party do not automatically include endorsement of the sponsor’s products and services. Endorsement is only given through a separate process that ensures alignment with our charity’s mission, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

AIH is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
This means:
AIH activities must support our charitable purpose — advancing horticulture, education, research, and public benefit,
Any income AIH generate must be used to further that purpose.
AIH statutory compliances:
AIH must comply with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Act 2012 (Cth) (ACNC Act),
the Charities Act 2013 and related regulations,
Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), managed through ACCC, ASIC and AIH governance standards of an Incorporated Association and noted in the AIH Rules (2023) rev. 2025
