A Legacy of Hope: Forests of Hope

What legacy will you leave by the time you turn ninety? Platinum Sponsors, Arborgreen, shared this inspirational story with us.

While few may achieve the remarkable impact of Dr. Jane Goodall, we can all learn from her passion for a sustainable future. In 2024, we proudly launched Forests of Hope—a tribute to Dr. Goodall’s 90th birthday and her enduring legacy in environmental conservation. With the support of dedicated partners, including Koala Life and Arborgreen as a founding partner, our mission was clear: honour her legacy by planting 90 new forests across Australia, each featuring at least 90 native plants and trees.

When Dr. Goodall visited South Australia during her tour Down Under, we were excited to present her with this unique birthday gift during her visit to Cleland Wildlife Park. Rather than wrapping a forest, we shared the footage of the inaugural planting at Woodhouse Adventure Park, SA. This presentation celebrated the hard work of passionate volunteers and organisations who helped bring the first Forest of Hope to life. It was a birthday gift that truly made a difference, reminding us all of what one person’s vision can achieve for our environment.

As we look forward to 2025, the future of Forests of Hope is brighter than ever. After a successful inaugural year with numerous registered forests, we are inspired by the overwhelming community support. Every tree planted not only enriches our landscapes but also cultivates a spirit of stewardship among the next generation—a value Dr. Goodall holds dear.

For Arborgreen, Forests of Hope is more than a project—it’s a commitment to our values, a positive impact on communities, and a step toward transforming Australia’s natural environment for the better.
