Share Your Horticultural Expertise in HortInsights

Are you passionate about horticulture and eager to share your expertise with others in the field?

The Australian Institute of Horticulture invites you to contribute to HortInsights, our seasonal members-only magazine.

We’re looking for concise, informative, and inspiring articles that reflect the depth and diversity of horticulture today. Whether you have innovative ideas, expert advice, or unique experiences to share, your voice could help shape the conversation within the AIH community.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we value contributions from our network of professionals and enthusiasts. While we cannot offer payment for articles, contributing authors receive recognition in our magazine, and articles written by Registered Horticulturists can also earn CPD points if published.

Here are some quick guidelines to help you craft your submission:

  • Article Length: 350-500 words, with a clear aim and strong take-home messages.
  • Sources and References: If citing others’ work, include sources and references.
  • Images: Submit 3-4 high-quality images (1-5 MB each) with captions. Ensure you have permission to use them. A personal photograph of you on-site can add a unique touch to your story.

HortInsights is an online publication released quarterly in March, June, September, and December. If you’re interested in contributing, please note that submission deadlines fall on the 1st day of the preceding month.

Please note that while we aim to feature a diverse range of perspectives, publication cannot be guaranteed, and editorial adjustments may be made to enhance readability and presentation.
