AIH Core  Commitments

Australian Institute of Horticulture Inc policy statements that declare our organisation’s intentions, objectives, or goals. These prescribe our public position for situations pertaining to the health and well being of our environment. 

AIH Core  Commitments

To promote the dissemination and exchange of horticultural
knowledge, and to cooperate with governments, scientific or
other societies or bodies in any part of the world in matters related
to horticultural knowledge and practice;
To assist with and promote horticultural education and continuous
learning to all parties including urban, rural, regional and remote
communities;
To undertake such other activities as the membership may adopt
for the advancement of horticulture and environmentally
sustainable management.
To represent graduand, graduate and student horticulturists to
government, industry and the public;
To provide a framework for the promotion and encouragement
of professional best practice; and
To establish and enforce a code of ethics which is binding on
members.
The assets and the income of the organisation shall be applied
only to further its objects and no portion shall be distributed
directly or indirectly to our members except as genuine
compensation for services rendered or approved expenses
incurred on behalf of the institute.
