Description
Collectors’ Plant Fair launched in 2005 and has grown to be the largest plant fair in Australia. We are thrilled to announce over 100 specialist plant growers and garden related stallholders collide over one weekend in autumn, within the historic grounds of the Hawkesbury Race Club.
Our longtime fair goers love finding long lost plants, meeting up with their plant loving friends and chatting with expert specialist growers. Of course the weekend is perfectly tied for NSW planting season and its a good excuse to sip good coffee and get out, connect with our love of plants and plant people.
The fair quickly outgrew its first home in the grounds of founder Peta Trehar’s property in Bilpin. For the past seven years the event has been held at the Hawkesbury Race Club in Clarendon, allowing more specialist nurseries to showcase their plants, and more gardeners to find them. Collectors’ said a fond farewell to its founders Peta and Peter Trahar, and Beth Stokes. After a decade of sterling effort in building the Fair, the trio passed the batton and the responsibility for its future on to two plant lovers determined to uphold the integrity, passion and generous spirit of the Fair, and enable it to continue as Australia’s treasured garden event.
