My name is Wayne Van Balen RH and I am an AIH accredited Registered Horticulturist., I am also the President of the Australian Institute of Horticulture (AIH). I am proud to invite you to become a member of this organisation. We are dedicated to the representation of practising professional Horticulturists in Australia and the South East Asian Region. AIH comprises members in Australia and the South East Asia region.

AIH comprises members in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA and Solomon Islands and is a not-for-profit organisation of Professional Horticulturists engaged in the many sectors of our industry.

Members represent the plant, soil, water and ‘landscape’ health sectors, design, landscape architecture, plant production, garden centre management, propagation, arboriculture, turf production and maintenance, floriculture, permaculture, horticulture media including print (books, magazines, newspapers) and broadcast (television, radio, web) journalists, book authors, photographers, educators and extension officers. Since 1960, AIH has provided networking, professional development, research and other valuable programs and services for professionals like you.

You may also apply to be accredited as a Registered Horticulturist and be recognised by the industry for your outstanding industry skills and experience. This program involves ongoing professional development. When you join AIH you become part of a network of leading horticulturists in the AustralAsian region. This network enables you to share experiences and contacts with other professionals, enhance your business through professional development, assist you with the complexities of the need for chemically free and accountable environmental practices, help you with new technology and science information and the list goes on.
